New OPE President / CEO Announced
The Board of Trustees of the Ohio Partnership
for Excellence (OPE) is pleased to welcome Colonel
Alfred C. Faber, Jr. as the new President/CEO.
"Under the leadership of outgoing Executive
Director Elaine Edgar, Ph.D., the Ohio Partnership
for Excellence, a nonprofit organization, has effectively
promoted performance excellence in key sectors of
the economy in Ohio, including business, education,
health care, nonprofit and government organizations,"
said Frank Perez, Chair of the OPE Board of Trustees.
Each year, OPE presents the state's premier quality
awards to organizations in Ohio. "We believe
that under Al Faber's leadership, OPE will serve
as a significant force in advancing the growth and
improvement of Ohio enterprises," said Pérez.
"Furthermore, Colonel Faber understands the
Baldrige criteria and exhibits a contagious enthusiasm
for performance management. We look forward to his
leadership."
Faber graduated summa cum laude from Capital University
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and
holds a Master of Arts degree in international relations
from Salve Regina University, Rhode Island. He has
also studied leadership and management at the Fletcher
School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University; and
served as a National Security Fellow at the J.F.K.
School of Government, Harvard University.
